This is one of the funnest and broadest categories that my artwork falls into. Pretty much anything that was originally intended for a particular use but is then re-purposed and used as something else can be considered "upcycled." To me it means taking something that is considered useless or obsolete and bringing it up from trash to treasure again by altering it somehow or using it for something it was not designed for. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves here, but some of the materials used were DVD's as mosaic tiles, spoons as pendants, old tire tubing for devil sticks,and the list goes on and on.
