Water marbling has been done using a vast array of materials and techniques through the years. The concept consists of floating paints, inks, dyes, or any sort of pigment on a "size" usually a liquid of some kind. Then the pigments are swirled or agitated with a tool to create beautiful, abstract, designs that make you think of marble. Next, the design is captured and preserved by laying or dipping a medium into the size that transfers the image onto the object. This can be paper, fabric, metal, plastic, or yourself! The options are seemingly limitless.
